Arknights Medic Choices in 2026: Single-Target, AoE, or Wandering?

https://www.lootbar.com

Three minutes into an Episode 17 boss clear, I watched my 2-block Saria holding the main lane drop to 10% HP while my AoE Medic happily ticked two off-tanks taking chip damage. That one misassigned Medic slot turned a comfy clear into a full reset. Been there? Same. Since Critical Phase Transition launched earlier this month, I have wiped more times to healing placement than to boss damage, and I know I am not alone in 2026. 🩺 Single-Target Medics: When Focused HPS Wins Single-target Medical Medics heal one ally per interval, and their higher base ATK gives them roughly 25-35% better focused HPS than AoE counterparts. I reach for them when one defender, duelist, or boss-facing lane holder is eating burst damage and cannot afford a slow top-up. Most carry a standard 3x4 healing range, plus utility that changes the fight: Shining’s 40% DEF buff keeps frontline units standing, while Silence’s cross-map healing drones patch tight range gaps. My rule is simple: if enemies concentrate damage on one tank, my healing placement is restricted, or one operator death immediately leaks the stage, I pick single-target first. That one hurts when I get it wrong, because a dead Saria is not a healing problem anymore. It is a reset. 🌫️ Arknights AoE Healer: When Group Coverage Is Better Multi-target Medics heal up to 3 allies at once, which is exactly what I want against splash damage, poison chip pressure, and stacked ranged tile setups. Their 3x3 range covers a wider clustered area than the single-target 3x4 layout, but distributed healing is never a panic **** on during boss burst windows. I deploy AoE when 2-3 defenders hold a wide line, when clustered ranged operators take consistent chip damage, or when the map has no lethal single-target spikes. It is steady formation support, not emergency triage. 🧠 The 2026 Medic Decision Tree: Build for Damage Patterns My 2026 selection rule is built around damage patterns, not vibes. One ally taking consistent lethal pressure means single-target first. Three allies taking repeated moderate damage means AoE first. Mixed pressure almost always calls for one of each archetype. Modern specialist branches expand the framework: Wandering Medics are non-negotiable for elemental or status-heavy maps, and Episode 17’s new Watchman Medic Kal’tsit - Esperanta adds offensive tactical value beyond standard healing output. Even top-tier meta operators with high role compression do not erase positioning, range overlap, and skill timing. Those fundamentals still decide whether the run ends at 3 minutes or 13. Scenario First Medic Pick Win Condition Single physical boss burst Single-target 30% higher focused HPS prevents defender fold Poison mist + 3 clustered ranged ops AoE Steady chip coverage avoids staggered deaths Necrosis or burn elemental pressure Wandering Specialist healing is the safe lane; non-specialist clear data is not publicly verifiable 💡 Pull, Upgrade, and Spend Safely for Your Medic Roster Before I commit pulls or resources to a new Medic, I cross-check event notices, upcoming banners, and regional account compatibility details on the official Arknights page . For players budgeting around Episode 17 Critical Phase Transition rewards, I would prioritize promotion materials for a balanced healing core before chasing duplicate pulls or niche operator upgrades. If using LootBar game top-up for Originium or monthly packs, prefer Self-TopUp or UID methods where supported, keep 2FA active on the account, and remember that third-party order issues must go to that platform’s support rather than official Arknights customer service. My final takeaway is simple: I do not need the fanciest Medic in 2026. I need the right Medic in the right slot, with range overlap I actually checked and a skill timing I did not panic-press.

Silksong's Hornet Has a Love Life, and I'm Obsessed

https://dealnesthq.com

I have spent an embarrassing amount of time poking around every corner of Hollow Knight: Silksong , and just when I thought I had a handle on Hornet's whole deal, Team Cherry drops a diary entry that has completely rewired how I see her. Yes, we finally get more Hornet, and yes, she is way more vocal than she was in the original game, but I was not prepared for the community to start debating her romantic history like it is the final boss of lore ******* ysis. The entry in question is tied to the Great Conchfly, and once you encounter it, Hornet writes something that has sent shippers, lore nerds, and meme makers into a full-blown spiral. The Diary Entry That Broke the Fandom Here is the short version: Hornet's journal notes that the Great Conchfly rarely leaves its mate once it has partnered up. That alone is a cute bit of creature behavior, but then Hornet reflects on her own life and reveals that she has had multiple partners over her lifetime. She says she once sought the "great joy" that having a mate brings, which is a surprisingly tender line from a character who usually communicates through needle strikes and terse warnings. The kicker is that none of her former partners shared her lifespan. That detail opens up a whole nest of questions: did they pass away? Did she leave before things got too painful? Was she trying to avoid outliving someone she loved? Suddenly, Hornet's quiet intensity feels a lot heavier. As a player, I love this kind of environmental storytelling because it does not spell everything out. It gives us just enough to make us lean in. The journal system in Silksong is already one of my favorite additions because it makes Hornet feel like a person with opinions, routines, and a past, not just a cool silhouette with a spear. And honestly, the fact that she keeps a journal at all is a delightful character beat. She is observing the world, writing things down, and letting us peek at her thoughts. That is a far cry from the Hornet we met in the first game, where every encounter felt like a test. What the Journal Reveals Why It Matters Hornet has had multiple partners It confirms she has an active romantic history, not just a mysterious past She sought the "great joy" of having a mate It makes her more emotionally vulnerable and relatable None of her partners shared her lifespan It hints at her age, longevity, and possible loss Great Conchflies rarely leave their mates It contrasts her own experiences with a more permanent bond The Fandom Is Handling It Exactly How You'd Expect The community reaction has been absolute chaos in the best way. Shippers are re-examining every character interaction with a magnifying glass, artists are already sketching potential former partners, and lore theorists are using the lifespan line to argue about how old Hornet actually is. I have seen people joke that she felt the six-year wait for Silksong in her bones because she has clearly been around for a very long time. Others are taking the sadder route and imagining a string of quiet farewells, which honestly fits the tone of this series a little too well. The memes are relentless, but underneath the jokes, there is genuine fascination with Hornet as a character. What I find most interesting is that this reveal does not feel like fan service. It feels like worldbuilding. Hornet has always been one of the most compelling figures in the series, and Silksong finally gives us the ******* e to spend time with her. The Knight is great, obviously, but Hornet has a presence that demands more attention. She is proud, guarded, and capable, and now we know she has also been lonely in a way that is hard to fix. A long lifespan is not just a power fantasy; it is a recipe for watching people come and go. That line about her partners not sharing her lifespan does more character work than a dozen exposition dumps could.

Needle Strike in Silksong: A Third-Person Guide Through Blasted Steps

https://dealnesthq.com

Hornet had learned to dance through Shellwood's canopy, but the real prize of Act 1 still eluded her. In Hollow Knight: Silksong, the flashy moves and unique abilities are only half the story; the other half is a charged attack that hits like a freight train. That ability is the Needle Strike, and by 2026 it remains one of the most satisfying tools in the early game. It does not show up until the end of Act 1, and the road to it is no walk in the park. The path is not overly long, but it runs straight through a duo boss that deals two masks of damage per hit. For any player who has been coasting on Silk and swagger, this is where the gloves come off. The Road to Blasted Steps The first order of business is reaching Blasted Steps, the far-left slice of the map that opens up after Hornet acquires the wall jump ability in Shellwood. From the Bellway Station in Shellwood, head right and drop down all the way until the path lets you go left. Keep going until you arrive at a bench, and just before it is a spot where you can go up. Use that to access the bench on the right and open the gate blocking the Bellway Station. Once you are in Blasted Steps, which is the path left of the bench you just unlocked, head all the way up. There you will find Blasted Steps' Bellway Station and a bench to rest at. It is a bit of a trek, but nothing that should send you back to the drawing board. From that bench, head down the same way you came, but float toward the left wall. When you spot a blue sign pointing to the left, head through there. That is your cue to keep your eyes peeled, because you are about to come across the Great Conchflies. A Duo That Means Business The Great Conchflies are a duo boss fight, and both Conchflies deal double mask damage. They are coordinated in their attacks, which means Hornet has to watch where both of them start to drill in and drill out. At times, one of the Conchflies will stop and shoot a projectile at you. You can dodge it, or you can attack it to deflect it away. Whenever the boss is about to emerge from the ground, a trail of dust will appear. That is a huge indicator, so do not ignore it. After one of the bosses has been dealt with, the other will run away, ending the fight. The trick is to focus one target, stay mobile, and treat the dust trail like a warning sign from the game itself. It is not a cut-and-dry damage race; it is a dance, and the Conchflies are happy to lead. Challenge What to Watch For Quick Tip Drill attacks Both Conchflies coordinate their entries and exits Keep both on screen and move early Projectiles One Conchfly stops to shoot Dodge or deflect with an attack Ground emergence A trail of dust appears Use the dust as your cue to reposition Duo pressure Two masks of damage per hit Do not get greedy; chip away and reset Once the fight is done, head further left and make your way across the worms below. At the end of the path, you will need to pogo the bouncy ****** to reach the hut above. This is a classic Silksong platforming moment: a little patience, a little rhythm, and a little nerve. Pogo off the ****** , keep your cool, and you will land at the hut where the Pinstress waits. The Pinstress and the Prize Talk to the Pinstress, and she will reward Hornet with the Needle Strike ability. It is performed by holding down the attack ****** on, and it deals increased damage to enemies. After the Conchflies, the reward feels like a well-earned pat on the back. The Needle Strike is not just a flashy trick; it is a tool that changes how Hornet approaches tougher foes. Charged attacks can punish openings, break through defensive moments, and give players a reason to hold their ground instead of always flitting away. For players who have been wondering when Silksong would hand over its first real power spike, the answer is simple: Act 1's end, after a boss that refuses to go easy.

A Secret Code Opens Silksong’s Steel Soul From the Start

https://dealnesthq.com

The ***** le screen of Hollow Knight: Silksong is a quiet shrine—until someone begins pressing ***** ons in the Extras menu. In 2026, long after players have mapped Hornet’s kingdom and argued over its hardest bosses, a strange shortcut still lingers there: Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right. A flash cuts across the screen; a sound answers like a lock turning behind the wallpaper. Silksong does not explain what happened. According to a community discovery reported by MP1st and credited to ***** nugtaster on the Hollow Knight subreddit, the sequence unlocks Steel Soul mode from the very beginning—no completed playthrough required. A Trapdoor in the ***** le Screen For most players, Steel Soul is a reward at the end of a long road. In the original Hollow Knight, the mode appeared only after the game had been beaten once. Silksong follows the same tradition, but the code carves a side door. The player does not need to finish Hornet’s story, defeat every boss, or prove anything to the game. They only need to open Extras, tap out the sequence, and watch for the brief flash and audio cue that confirm the input. The game offers no explanatory pop-up, no trophy fanfare, and no warning label. The code is a trapdoor painted to match the ceiling: invisible until someone taps the right pattern. What Steel Soul Actually Means Steel Soul is not a badge; it is a lit fuse taped to a save file. The rules are simple and merciless: death is permanent. A fallen run does not respawn at a bench or reload a checkpoint. The save file is booted, marked with the word 'defeated', and left as a tombstone. For players who find Silksong’s normal difficulty already sharp enough to draw blood, Steel Soul is less a mode and more a stress test for nerve. The Sequence and the Risk The community discovery is easy to repeat, but that does not make it wise. The input is short, silent, and easy to forget once the ***** le screen moves on. Step Action Result 1 Open the Extras menu on the ***** le screen The menu waits, apparently ordinary 2 Press Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right A quick flash and a sound play 3 Start the game Steel Soul mode is available, according to the community report Silksong never spells out the consequences. That silence is part of the trap. A player who enters the code expecting a cosmetic unlock may instead find a mode that treats every mistake as a final sentence. A Featherweight Key, A Blast Furnace For veterans, the shortcut is a featherweight key that opens a blast furnace. It removes the gate but not the heat. A first-time player may be tempted to prove something by selecting Steel Soul immediately; the smarter move is usually to learn Hornet’s moves, map the traps, and understand which enemies punish greed. Silksong’s normal mode already has a reputation for turning patience into splinters. Steel Soul multiplies that tension because every careless step carries the weight of a full save file. Why the Secret Matters The code is a small piece of community folklore. It reflects the way Silksong’s players trade secrets like travelers passing maps in a dark tavern. One person experiments, another verifies, and soon a hidden path becomes common knowledge. Yet the mode remains a personal choice. The code does not force Steel Soul on anyone; it simply opens the door and steps back. For completionists, the shortcut may be a convenience. For newcomers, it may be a siren song. Either way, the flash and the sound are the only confirmation the game provides. Final Word By 2026, Silksong’s hardest challenges are still measured in patience, timing, and the willingness to lose progress. Steel Soul mode sits at the top of that pile. The secret code makes it available from the start, but availability is not readiness.

Silksong Steel Soul Mode: Early Unlock Code, Permadeath Rules, and Achievements

https://dealnesthq.com

In 2026, Silksong's Steel Soul Mode remains the game's sternest test of nerve. The permadeath variant returns from the original Hollow Knight and gives players one life, one save slot, and one shot at finishing the entire campaign without falling once. Even a standard run of Silksong can be brutally punishing, so Steel Soul Mode does not simply raise the difficulty; it changes the conversation. The mode does not hold hands. It stares back. For veterans who know Hornet's move set and the map's cruel little surprises, that stare is the appeal. A Single Life, No Do-Overs Steel Soul Mode is normally unlocked by completing a regular playthrough. That path rewards patience, but it is not the only way. A secret method lets players open the mode early through the Extras menu on the ***** le screen. The sequence is: Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right To trigger it, players open Silksong's main menu, select Extras, and enter the sequence. A successful attempt produces a brief white flash on screen. After that, starting a new game presents two choices: Classic Mode for normal play, and Steel Soul Mode for a run with no reviving and permanent death. Mode Rule Classic Mode Standard play with normal revival rules Steel Soul Mode No reviving; death is permanent When Hornet Falls, the Run Is Over In Steel Soul Mode, health is not a buffer for experimentation. If Hornet's health reaches zero, the Game Over screen appears, and the run is finished. Death does not knock politely. The save slot then carries the word 'Defeated', and the only available action is deletion, clearing ***** e for a fresh attempt. That public mark is part of the mode's harsh design: it turns every failed run into a small tombstone. For newcomers, one slip-up and it's curtains. For experienced players, the threat sharpens every decision. Healing windows become precious. Risky shortcuts lose their charm. Boss patterns that once felt like puzzles become exams with no retakes. Steel Soul Mode asks players to trade experimentation for discipline, and that shift is a whole different ball game. Achievements and the 100% Test Two achievements are tied to Steel Soul Mode in Silksong: 🏆 Steel Soul: Finish the game in Steel Soul Mode. 💀 Steel Heart: Achieve 100% game completion and finish the game in Steel Soul Mode. The first is a clean completion under permanent-death rules. The second is the mode's real crown. A 100% run demands broad exploration, optional challenges, upgrades, and boss encounters, all without a single death. The achievement list keeps its toughest prize behind one life, and that design gives completionists a target that is easy to understand and brutal to execute. Why Steel Soul Still Matters in 2026 Steel Soul Mode remains relevant because it reframes Silksong as a game of memory and restraint. It is not the default way to play, and it is not meant for every player on day one. It is the ultimate gauntlet for those confident in their skill, a mode that turns map knowledge, combat timing, and route planning into a single continuous performance. Players who have already cleared the campaign may find that Steel Soul changes how they read every room, every bench, and every enemy tell. In 2026, that appeal has not faded. The mode is still a badge of honor, a stress test, and a reminder that Silksong's world can be beautiful, hostile, and unforgiving all at once. 🎮 For players who treat Steel Soul as a test of patience and precision, the same mindset often carries over to how they build their gaming library and setup. Whether you're hunting for a new controller that can handle long boss attempts, a comfortable headset for late-night runs, or simply another challenging ***** le to conquer next, DealNest is a straightforward place to compare offers and find the best deal without wasting time.

Silksong’s 45-Degree Downward Attack Is Rewiring My Hollow Knight Muscle Memory

https://dealnesthq.com

I did not expect Silksong to make me feel like a beginner again. I have played Hollow Knight before—seven years ago, apparently, which is a sentence that makes my knees creak—and I do not spend much time in 2D platformers. My first run through Hallownest was a parade of tiny mistakes, repeated deaths, and boss rooms that taught me humility. So when Silksong arrived, I braced for the same long climb back to competence. In 2026, with the launch hype settled and the game still living rent-free in my rotation, I can say most of it came back like muscle memory. Except for one move. One tiny, elegant, infuriating change: Hornet’s downward attack. The Knight Went Down. Hornet Goes Diagonal. In Hollow Knight, the Knight’s downward attack was exactly what it sounded like: a strike aimed straight down. You jumped over an enemy, pogoed off its head, bounced over spikes, and used the move as a late-game crutch for bosses and optional areas. I had it mastered. I **** umed Silksong would inherit that muscle memory and let me coast. Ha. No. Hornet does things with flair. When you press down-attack, she darts downward at a 45-degree angle in whichever direction she is facing. If she connects with an enemy or obstacle, she bounces back up with a spin that looks cool enough to frame. It is incredibly Hornet. It is also a completely different geometry from the move I spent years internalizing. Move Hollow Knight (The Knight) Silksong (Hornet) Direction Straight down 45-degree diagonal dash Feel Simple pogo Stylish spin and flip Risk Miss and fall Miss and fly off a ledge Relearning curve Already mastered Ongoing, humbling That table is doing a lot of emotional labor for me. 😅 Muscle Memory Is a Traitor With Good Taste I am trying to use the move as much as possible so I can nail it early. Pun absolutely intended. If Hornet insists on doing a dramatic spin and flip while fighting, then fine—I will spin and flip too. We both deserve it. I am two bosses down, and the move already paid off on the second fight. The extra airtime kept me alive in a way that felt less like luck and more like a skill I might eventually own. But the downside arrived quickly. I found a room with obstacles to bounce across, no platforms, and a spiky floor below. On the other side? Treasure. Sweet, glorious treasure. I made it across the first time and grabbed it. Then I needed to get back. I tried, lost health. I tried again, lost more health. I tried once more, died. Now I had to return, bounce across again, collect my things, and bounce back out. Oh man. The room was not asking for mastery. It was asking for one clean diagonal pogo, repeated, while my brain kept whispering, remember the Knight? Remember straight down? The deaths are not tragic, exactly. They are funny in the way that only your own hands betraying you can be funny. I keep striking where the enemy was, or where a straight-down attack would have connected, and instead Hornet rockets off at an angle. Sometimes I hit the enemy with my body and take damage. Sometimes I miss entirely and go flying off a ledge. The game feels familiar. The design feels familiar. The bosses feel like Hollow Knight bosses. But this one move catches me out again and again. Relearning Is the Best Part, Unfortunately Here is the annoying truth: I love that Silksong did this. A lesser sequel might have copied the Knight’s pogo and let veterans sleepwalk through the early game. Hornet’s diagonal down-attack forces me to actually think about positioning, facing direction, and momentum. It turns ordinary traversal into a small puzzle. It makes combat feel like a conversation where I keep mishearing the other person. Is it frustrating? Absolutely. Do I want the game to change it? No. The frustration is the point.

Silksong’s Wormways: A Cheerfully Stubborn Guide to an Early Optional Detour

https://dealnesthq.com

I have a confession: I am physically incapable of ignoring an optional area in a Metroidvania. If a suspicious passage exists, I will poke it. If a locked door judges me from across the room, I will make it my entire personality until I find the key. So when Hollow Knight: Silksong dangles the Wormways in front of you very early on, my professional gamer brain says, “Why would anyone skip it?” My responsible adult brain says, “Because you have 12 Rosaries and no plan.” Naturally, I listened to the gamer brain. 🎮 Even in 2026, the Wormways remains a wonderfully grubby little early-game detour. It is optional, it is easy to miss, and it is absolutely worth poking around if you enjoy loot, new Tools, resources, and the smug satisfaction of opening a door that other players sprint past. The catch? You need a Simple Key, and the fastest way to get one is to buy it from the vendor in Bone Bottom for 500 Rosaries. Is 500 Rosaries a lot? Early on, yes—it is the kind of price that makes you stare at your inventory and wonder whether the vendor accepts emotional damage as payment. So you farm a little. You bonk some enemies. You pretend it is character-building. Then you buy the key and pick one of two routes. Route One: The Marrow, Mosshome, and One Poison-Spitting Problem This is the route I recommend if you want the shortest possible explanation and the longest possible moment of panic. Head to the Bellway Station in The Marrow and go left. Once you interact with the bench in Mosshome, keep heading left until you leave the area and reach the outside. From there, jump up and dash onto the hanging elevator, then dash to the far left corner. You will find a passage. Congratulations—you are now committed. Head inside and immediately get beneath a platform. Why? Because there is an enemy above you that spits poison downward and deals two mask damage. It is not a boss. It is not a grand test of skill. It is just a rude little fountain with opinions. Sprint to the other side of the room, jump into the next room, and you will find the door where your Simple Key finally gets to feel important. Interact with it, use the key, and welcome to the Wormways. Route Two: Shellwood, a Left Wall, and a Tool Worth Grabbing If you prefer the scenic route—or if you simply enjoy falling dramatically while hugging a wall—take the Shellwood path. Go through Shellwood and keep heading left until you reach a point where you can drop down below to Bone Bottom. Float down while staying close to the left wall, and soon you will see a passage leading into the Wormways. Once inside, make your way forward and try not to get hit by the travelling bugs. They are not subtle, but they are persistent, like a mosquito with a personal grudge. Keep heading further down and you will find the Dead Bug's Purse Tool, which allows the bearer to retain some Rosaries upon defeat. Is that not exactly the kind of insurance a reckless explorer wants? I think so. Keep following the main path, and once you reach the long vertical room, go all the way down to find a lever. Hit it, and it reveals the same door that requires the Simple Key to gain access. Yes, after all that, the door still wants the key. Of course it does. The Wormways is not a charity. Route Cheat Sheet Route Starting Point Vibe Key Move The Marrow route Bellway Station in The Marrow Quick, direct, mildly venomous Go left through Mosshome, dash to the far-left passage, dodge the poison spitter Shellwood route Shellwood, heading left Scenic, floaty, bug-infested Drop toward Bone Bottom, hug the left wall, grab Dead Bug's Purse, pull the lever My Very Serious Wormways Checklist 🔑 Buy the Simple Key in Bone Bottom for 500 Rosaries. 💰 Farm enemies until your wallet stops crying. 🐛 Choose The Marrow route for speed or Shellwood route for the Dead Bug's Purse. ☠️ Do not stand under the poison-spitting

Sharpdart in Silksong: A Wormways Dash of Pure Joy

https://dealnesthq.com

Listen, I have a confession: I am still not over Sharp Shadow from the original Hollow Knight. So when I heard that Hollow Knight: Silksong hides a dash-through-your-enemies Silk Skill called Sharpdart in the Wormways, I did what any sensible bug with a needle would do — I packed snacks, ignored the acid, and went looking for it. In 2026, this route remains one of my favorite power spikes: short, punchy, and absolutely worth the minor emotional damage caused by ceiling worms. The Three Things You Need Before the Worm Party Before you sprint into the Wormways like a caffeinated flea, grab these three things. I learned this the hard way, which is a polite way of saying I stood in front of a locked door and made sad bug noises. Thing Where to get it Why you need it Simple Key Merchant in Bone Bottom, 500 Rosaries Opens the main Wormways door Needolin Defeat the Widow in Bellhart Opens the deeper Weavenest door Clawline The Cauldron, deep in the Underworks during Act 2 Lets you reach the sandy gap platform Make sure you have enough Rosary beads on hand for the Simple Key. Five hundred Rosaries sounds like a lot until you remember that you will spend it on a door and then immediately forget the pain. That is character growth. Wormways: Short, Sharp, and Full of Acid From Bone Bottom, take the lift to the edge of Mosshome and jump across the gap to the west. That is your entrance to the Wormways. Sprint past the acid-spitting beast — do not stop to chat, it is not a fan of yours — and in the next chamber you will find the door that eats your Simple Key. Continue west through the next hall, dashing past the worms that drop from the ceiling. Head up, then west again, until you reach a large sandy gap with the door up ahead. This is where the Clawline earns its keep. Sprint-jump and use your Clawline at the apex of your jump to reach the platform. If you are really struggling with this, it may simply be easier to get the Faywing cloak from Mount Fay first. You are going to need that upgrade in the future anyway, so get it done. I believe in you, and I also believe in not bonking your head against the same gap for twenty minutes. Weavenest Karn: Where the Worms Have Zero Manners If you have visited any Weavenests before, you know they are great places to pick up neat upgrades to your equipment. Play your Needolin to open the door and head on through. Unfortunately, this one has been taken over by worms. Rude. They did not even leave a welcome mat. Luckily, this is a very short area: one long chamber that heads all the way to the left. Keep left and jump over the spike pits, avoiding the little jumping worms that emerge from the ground. They are small, they are rude, and they have no respect for your personal **** e. Soon you will reach an area with small platforms and an entire ocean of spikes covering the ground. Worms fall quickly from above here, so jump-dash your way through as quickly as possible. After a few well-timed jumps, you will reach the Sharpdart upgrade. Use your Bind ability, and you will receive your reward. Try to look cool while doing it. I did not. Why Sharpdart Is My Favorite Silk Skill So Far Sharpdart is my favorite Silk Skill so far, and it is perfect for when enemies line up next to each other. It turns a row of foes into a very ugly kebab. If you are struggling with fights like The Forum in the Citadel, which is full of enemies that can deflect and parry you, this will shred those pesky flying foes that you cannot pin down. In 2026, that advice still holds up: when in doubt, dash through the problem. Quick Sharpdart Checklist ✅ Buy the Simple Key in Bone Bottom for 500 Rosaries. Defeat the Widow in Bellhart for Needolin. Grab Clawline from The Cauldron in the Underworks during Act 2. Enter the Wormways from the west side of Mosshome. Open the Simple Key door and keep heading west.

Silksong Guide: How I Found Needle Strike in the Blasted Steps

https://dealnesthq.com

I went back into Hollow Knight: Silksong this week with one goal: find the charge-up attack known as Needle Strike. As of 2026, Pharloom is still full of hidden routes, and this ability remains one of the more satisfying mid-game tools to track down. It is not a beginning-of-the-game pickup. I had to earn it. The route runs through the Blasted Steps, and it asks for two things before I could even attempt the final climb: the Cling Grip and a cleared path past the Great Conchflies. Here is how I did it, step by step, with the same route notes I used while navigating the area. Quick facts Detail What I found Ability Needle Strike, a charge-up attack Region Blasted Steps Required movement tool Cling Grip Required boss progress Defeat the Great Conchflies and unlock the left side of the arena Reward source Training from the Pinstress Best starting point Bench toward the bottom of the Blasted Steps Where Needle Strike is hidden My first mistake was treating the Blasted Steps like a straight combat zone. It is not. The route to Needle Strike is a vertical climb with several detours, and the game expects me to use float and dash carefully rather than simply run forward. The ability sits beyond the area unlocked after the Great Conchflies fight, so if that boss is still standing, I would not waste time trying to force the climb. Clear that encounter first, then unlock the passage to the left of the boss arena. The Cling Grip is the other hard requirement. Without it, the wall climbs and cage sections on the way up are not going to cooperate. I had already picked it up earlier, and I would strongly recommend doing the same before setting out. The Blasted Steps punish impatient platforming, especially around the sand and the hanging platforms. The route I used from the lower bench I started at the Bench toward the bottom of the Blasted Steps and worked upward. The path is easier to follow if I treat each platform group as a checkpoint rather than trying to rush the whole climb in one go. 🧭 Head left from the bench. Jump across the sand to the hanging platforms. Jump up the sides of both rock platforms until I reached the top one with a shield enemy. Get past that enemy, then jump, float, and dash into the rock platform on the left. Head left until I reached another rock wall to climb. Deal with or avoid the two small enemies near the wall. Head right until a new set of hanging platforms appears. Jump and float to the next platform, where enemies spawn once I reach the center. Jump and float again, then down attack the bells to cross the gap. Handle the shield enemy and the smaller enemy in the next pocket. Either drop down a level to the right and flip the switch, or travel along the tops of the platforms to the right. Enter the next zone and head right across the gap. Instead of entering the next area, climb the wall on the right side. Climb up the cages and past the enemies until a blue banner appears by an entrance. Jump and avoid the sand to reach the area where the Conchfly fight takes place. Head out the left side until the ****** e opens up again. Run and jump from the first platform, using float and dash to stay on the platforms. Keep moving until an airship carries me to the destination. That last stretch is where I slowed down the most. The airship section is not difficult once the rhythm clicks, but it is unforgiving if I panic and overcorrect. I found it better to commit to each float and dash rather than hesitate mid-jump. Meeting the Pinstress Once I awakened the Pinstress, she gave me a firm talking-to about manners. That caught me off guard, but it fits the tone of Silksong. Speaking to her again is the important part. She offered training, which triggered a short montage and awarded the Needle Strike ability. I did not have to fight her for it. The reward comes from following through on the conversation after the

Silksong’s Simplified Chinese Localization Controversy and Team Cherry’s Response

https://dealnesthq.com

Hollow Knight: Silksong arrived with strong praise from critics and many players, yet its public reception on Steam soon became more complicated than the gameplay discussion alone would suggest. The issue was not combat, platforming, or the haunting world design that fans had waited years to explore. Instead, a wave of criticism focused on the game’s Simplified Chinese localization, which many Chinese players described as tonally jarring and poorly suited to the game’s atmosphere. The result was a visible drop toward a Mixed rating, with the localization debate becoming one of the most discussed aspects of the sequel’s early life. Team Cherry later acknowledged the problem, and the episode became a notable example of how deeply localization can shape a game’s reception. A Localization Problem, Not a Gameplay Problem The frustration among Simplified Chinese players was not rooted in Silksong’s mechanics or design. The game was still being praised for its intricate combat, demanding platforming, and richly imagined insect kingdom. The criticism instead targeted the translation’s voice and direction. One player argued that the current Simplified Chinese text read like a Wuxia novel rather than conveying the game’s intended tone. That complaint was especially pointed because it framed the problem as a matter of taste and creative direction rather than simple effort. In other words, the translation was not merely inaccurate in places; it was said to feel fundamentally out of step with Silksong’s melancholic, strange, and delicate world. Public review data made the scale of the reaction difficult to ignore. Among players using Simplified Chinese, only 44 percent left a positive review, according to reporting from Eurogamer. That figure stood in sharp contrast to the broader acclaim surrounding the game and helped explain why the overall Steam rating had slipped to Mixed. For a sequel with such high expectations, the localization issue became a significant blemish on an otherwise celebrated launch. Community Criticism and the AI Comparison The backlash spread across social media, where players compared the official translation unfavorably with alternatives. One user claimed to have used DeepSeek AI and argued that, while AI has limitations, its output was far superior to the work of the hired translator. Another simply said that the translation ruined the game experience. Such comments reflect how strongly players connect with language in narrative-driven games. Silksong relies on atmosphere, character voice, and subtle worldbuilding, and a translation that shifts the register too far can make even well-designed scenes feel alien. Area of concern Player reaction Tone and style Described as reading like a Wuxia novel rather than matching Silksong’s mood Character voice Criticized for losing the intended personality and nuance Overall experience Some players said the localization damaged immersion Review sentiment Only 44 percent positive among Simplified Chinese users Localization is often treated as a technical afterthought, but it is a creative process. Translators must preserve meaning while also carrying over humor, rhythm, implication, and cultural texture. When a game’s world is as stylized as Silksong’s, the gap between a literal translation and a fitting one becomes especially noticeable. The Chinese audience is large and attentive, and its response showed that players expect more than functional text; they expect a translation that respects the original work’s emotional register. Team Cherry Responds Team Cherry did not ignore the complaints. Marketing representative Matthew Griffin acknowledged the quality issues with the current Simplified Chinese translation and stated that the team appreciated players bringing the matter to its attention.

Chasing Pollip Hearts: My Rite of the Pollip Journey in Silksong

https://dealnesthq.com

Even in 2026, Hollow Knight: Silksong still has a way of making me feel like a lost bug in a very pretty maze. I remember stumbling into Shellwood for the first time, all confidence and no map, and then meeting Greyroot. Her request sounded simple: bring her six purple pollips. Six flowers. How hard could it be? Several wood wasp swarms, one Sister Splinter fight, and a lot of vertical pogo practice later, I learned that the Rite of the Pollip is less a stroll and more a treasure hunt designed by someone who loves hidden tunnels. If you are chasing that 100 percent achievement and the Pollip Pouch, here is the route I wish I had on my first pass. Before You Pick a Single Flower Before you accept the wish, do yourself a favor and buy the Shellwood map. I skipped it once and spent twenty minutes hugging walls. Shakra sells it for 70 Rosary, but where she appears depends on how you entered Shellwood. If you arrived from the Wormways before going through Greymoor, find Shakra in Greymoor, east of the Far Fields entrance. If you came from Bellhart, take the west exit from the first Shellwood bench, ride the elevator down, and use the bottom-left exit. With the map pinned, visit Greyroot in her west-side abode. My route: head west from the east Shellwood bench, go as far left as you can in the next room, take the top-left exit, and enter the house at the end. She asks for six purple pollips. Accept the quest, and the hunt begins. Pollip Hearts hide inside unique purple flowers. Strike each flower three times to break it and claim the heart. A few truths I learned the hard way: many hearts are guarded by wood wasps; you must defeat Sister Splinter; Cling Grip is required for the final three; and hearts can be collected in any order, but they never respawn. The Six Hearts, Without the Guesswork # Where to look Requirement 1 Top-right corner of the room two exits west of Bellhart None; Cling Grip makes it faster 2 Center alcove of Shellwood's central vertical room Pogo off white flowers 3 Room after Sister Splinter's arena Defeat Sister Splinter 4 Secret tunnel below a wood wasp nest near Herrah's statue Cling Grip 5 Top of the right wall reached from the east bench's bottom-right exit Cling Grip 6 Behind a breakable vine wall near the east bench Cling Grip 1. The Wasp-Guarded Northeast Flower This one does not need Cling Grip, though I used it anyway. Start in the room two exits west of Bellhart — the room southwest of the east bench. Climb from the left side, keep going until you reach the east wall, then follow the vines and wasps upward. The flower waits in the top-right corner. Bring a weapon you trust, because the wasps below and at the site are relentless. 2. The Center Alcove Pogo Puzzle The second heart is a pogo puzzle. Find the small vertical room in the dead center of Shellwood, reached from the top-left exit of the east bench room. Inside, a single splinterhorn keeps you company. Bounce off the white flowers to reach the pollip in the top-left corner of the center alcove. It is safe enough to practice; just do not rush the last jump. 3. The Post-Boss Flower This one showed up naturally after Sister Splinter. After the boss fight, continue left into the next area and keep your eyes below. Two white flowers and wall growths mark the spot. Drop down and left into the small alcove. 4. The Wasp Nest Secret Tunnel Once Cling Grip is yours, head to the room right of Herrah's statue. Instead of going right toward Bellhart, go up past the splinterbarks. The path dead-ends at a wood wasp nest beside a pool — lovely. Destroy the nest, and a secret tunnel opens downward to the heart. 5. The Right Wall Climb Return to the east bench. Take the bottom-right exit, descend until you can move right, then follow platforms along the right wall. Climb the right wall when you can, and the heart is at the top.

Silksong’s The Slab: A Prison Break Guide to Keys, Cold, and the First Sinner

https://dealnesthq.com

As of 2026, The Slab remains one of Hollow Knight: Silksong’s most memorable detours: a freezing prison full of stolen gear, rude keys, and one very stubborn boss. A player does not stumble into it by accident. The Slab has a nasty habit of taking everything away first and explaining nothing until much later. Here is the full route, from capture to the First Sinner, with the important keys, rewards, and survival tricks in plain language. Getting Captured Is the Point To reach The Slab, a player needs solid progress on the Flea Caravan quest. That means moving the caravan into Greymoor, gathering more fleas so it moves again, and fighting Moorwing if that fight was skipped. Freeing the thief in Deep Docks also matters. After that, bulky armored flies carrying cages begin to spawn, including one at the now-empty Flea Caravan spot in Greymoor. Do not dodge and kill it immediately. Let it capture Hornet. If the cage and silk binding work, the screen fades to black, and the prison break begins. No Nail, No Cloak, No Shame Hornet wakes up stripped of her nail and clothes. No floating, no tools, no combat strength. She can still punch, dash, and cling to walls, which is enough to start trouble. The nearby doors are locked, so head down and left. Above another locked door is a very breakable ceiling. Break it, climb through, and find the thieves who stole the gear. Outside is bitterly cold, so keep moving and enter the first door on the right. The enemies inside are pushovers. Drop through the floor hole, and Grindle appears behind a door. He is absolutely no help, but freeing him is funny enough to count as a prerequisite. Key of Indolent Head left and run. Traps punish slow movement, so dash across them. The Key of Indolent hangs from a chain, and grabbing it triggers an ambush. Clear the room, then open the Door of Indolent on the right. Speak to Grindle again, enjoy the nearby bench, and jump into the hole in the rightmost wall for a map. Break debris above the previous room for a shortcut, go down and left to free a flea, then return to the rightmost door and open another Door of Indolent. The final pressure plate in that room locks the doors and spawns enemies. Lure them into trap positions, step on plates on purpose, and finish them quickly. After escaping, ascend the wall carefully with dashes to avoid spikes. Before the top, when the left side converges, break rocks in the alcove for a secret tunnel containing shards, a frayed Rosary String, and a shortcut back to the central room. Then climb the tower while watching the huge side pressure plates. Freezing Cold and Key of Heretic Up top, the cold returns. Avoid combat and move fast. The flaming coals are safe zones; run back to them when needed. From the first flame, go left past a spike trap, drop to another safe zone, then continue left across the lower spikes. Guards hit hard, and Hornet is not equipped for a fair fight. Memorize guard positions, jump to the right wall, dash through the corridor, and reach the next loading zone. Drop down the pit, go down and left to a bench, then head right to the room holding the stolen clothes and needle. Hornet starts the recovery by snapping the neck of the thief wearing her clothes, which restores her abilities and needle. The fight is still real. Small enemies are mashable, but big flies need dodging. Avoid their ground slam, hit a few times, wait, and counter. Grey goop only locks Hornet in place for a couple of seconds, but it can cause unnecessary damage. Clear the room to claim the Key of Heretic. Only the Key of Apostate remains. Drop south, and remember to re-equip tools at the nearest bench. The Underbelly and the Apostate Problem Unlock the floor at the bottom of the central room, flip switches until the left door opens, grab the shard bundle, and jump the chain-bound platforms to a top hole.

Silksong Architect's Melody Guide: Climb Cogwork Core, Solve the Musical Puzzle

https://dealnesthq.com

In 2026, the road to Ascend Pharloom's Crown still runs through the Threefold Memory , and one of those memories is the Architect's Melody . Hornet cannot simply stroll into a concert hall, tap a music stand, and call it a day. No, the Architect's Melody lives at the top of Cogwork Core , past a vertical platforming gauntlet that mixes wall jumps, grappling hoops, pogo bounces, and the sort of cogwheel timing that makes a player question their reflexes. The reward is a melody, not a medal, but Silksong fans know the difference is mostly paperwork. The quest begins in the central room of Choral Chambers , where players receive the task to collect three melodies. From there, the route drops down a hole into Cogwork Core . Hornet should head left once below, then keep descending. There is a bench along the way, and smart players will use it before starting the climb. Pride is a lovely accessory, but a rested Hornet is the real MVP. The Cogwork Core Climb, Abridged This section is less of a walk and more of a mechanical ballet with sharp edges. The broad plan is simple: go down until enemies appear, then reverse course and go up until the music room appears. The execution, naturally, is where the cogs bite. Stage What Hornet Does Sanity Check 1 From the enemy platform, descend until a vertically moving cogwheel appears. Do not hug the wheel; pogo off it. 2 Pogo the cogwheel to gain height, repeating until Hornet can hook the wall on the right. Timing is everything, and the wheel has no mercy. 3 Wall jump from side to side until a resting ledge appears. Rest. The ledge is not decoration. 4 Move up to the nearby ledge, ignore the room on the right for now, and jump to the left wall. Curiosity is expensive here. 5 Ascend until a door appears, enter it, head left, and hang on the ring at the end to open the door above. The ring is the doorbell. 6 Wall jump through the passage, then hook the hoop to move right until there is a place to rest. If Hornet is falling, the hoop was probably not the problem. 7 Leap left and continue until another wall-jump spot appears, then ascend and harpoon the ring to go right. The route enjoys switching directions like a caffeinated metronome. 8 When a cogwheel blocks the way, let go of the hoop, jump to the other side, and hook again to continue right. Letting go on purpose feels wrong; do it anyway. 9 On the right side, stick to the walls and move up until another hoop leads left. Leap off before hitting the cogwheel and land on the safe ledge. 10 Rest, leap to the platform above with enemies, then journey right and ascend using walls and rings. The enemies are a hint that the route is still going up. 11 When another hoop appears, hook right, jump up to switch to the hoop above, and let it lead left. Before the cogwheel obstacle, jump up and stick to the wall above. 12 Pogo the cogwheels again to reach enough height for the next ring. This is the cogwheel rodeo's encore. A grappling hook such as the Clawline makes this climb far less theatrical in the bad way. Without it, Hornet's journey becomes a series of creative falls and deeply personal conversations with gravity. Players should also keep an eye out for small rest spots; Silksong is not a game that hands out breathers like party favors. The room to the right near the early resting ledge can be ignored for now, because the melody is upward, not sideways. Eventually, after enough wall-jump tango and hoop-hooking shenanigans, Hornet reaches a place where the only sensible direction is up. Keep heading up, and the Architect's Melody puzzle room appears. Cue the imaginary trumpets, but keep them quiet; this is a music room. The Architect's Melody Puzzle The puzzle itself is a four-tower affair. Each tower has four sections, and the goal is to align the notes in all four sections.

A Pilgrim's Path Through Blasted Steps to the Last Judge

https://dealnesthq.com

In 2026, the road to Hollow Knight: Silksong's second act still begins with a question that every traveler must answer: is skill enough, or does preparation decide who survives? The player, an ordinary adventurer with a good memory for warnings, had heard the whispers about the Blasted Steps. It was not merely another area. It was a wind-scoured staircase of sand, spikes, bells, and ancient swordsmen, and at its summit waited the Last Judge. The traveler did not rush in. Why would anyone charge into a place called the Blasted Steps without checking their tools first? The first task was reaching the Steps at all, and that required more than bravery. It required the Needolin, obtained by defeating Widow in Haunted Bellhart, and the Cling Grip, which the player had tracked down after a few tense detours. With those tools in hand, the route opened like a stubborn door finally giving way. Preparation Why it mattered 🎵 Needolin Opened a critical door and later activated the Last Judge encounter 🧗 Cling Grip Made vertical wall sections and gate climbs possible 🧥 Drifter's Cloak Gave air control over wind, sand, and long gaps 🗺️ Shakra's map Turned a confusing climb into a readable route 💰 Rosaries Paid for the map, a bench, and small conveniences The player hitched a ride on the Bellway to Shellwood, then headed far to the left, past gaps and along a long, dusty road. That road led directly toward the Blasted Steps. If that path was not open, there was another way: wall jumps and pogo bounces off flowers could still bring a determined traveler to the same threshold. Either way, the message was clear. The Steps did not care how someone arrived. They only cared whether that someone could continue. Once inside, the player kept left and watched for falling rocks. The first gap demanded a jump upward, because the path to the left was blocked for the moment. Climb, head right, leap over the spike pit, and keep ascending. A bench waited just to the left, a small mercy in a place that offered few. Ahead, the sand behaved like a spike pit, so falling into it was not an option. The wind made every jump feel dishonest, and the Drifter's Cloak became a trusted companion. With it, the player could float, correct, and land with something like control. The first new enemy was a fierce, ancient swordsman. His shield bash was the most dangerous move, often followed by a two-strike combo. Yet his attacks were readable. The player eliminated him, moved left, and made a large leap to the next platform. In a small alcove with spikes below, wall jumps carried the traveler upward. Enemies waited there, and beyond them the wind offered a helpful gust to the right. For those who preferred personal skill over luck, the bells could also be pogoed across. The goal was the furthest platform on the right. Beneath it, surrounded by sand, a Memory Locket rewarded a careful float downward. Then came a gentler stretch. The player drifted from platform to platform with the Drifter's Cloak until Shakra, the mapmaker, appeared at the end of the path. What good is courage without a map? The player bought the Blasted Steps map and felt the area become less of a mystery and more of a challenge. After speaking with Shakra, the route turned upward and left. New enemies shot spinning cones that could ricochet, so caution became the rule. At the end, bells helped the player grab a wall and float to the next platform. The Drifter's Cloak and Cling Grip worked together, turning impossible-looking gaps into a rhythm of cling, leap, and drift. Below, a stash of rosaries tempted the traveler, but the main objective was above. A wall at the top could be clung to, and from there the player entered the upper section, avoided a rock, and dashed into the next safe zone. Keep pressing left. Use the cloak to reach the far-left platform. Flick the switch. Gates lowered, opening the way

How I Heal in Hollow Knight: Silksong: Bind, Benches, and Survival

https://dealnesthq.com

I learned the hard way that Pharloom does not hand out second chances. My first few hours in Hollow Knight: Silksong were a blur of boss attempts, risky jumps, and far too many deaths because I treated healing like something I could do whenever I wanted. It is not. Healing here is a deliberate choice, and once I understood the rhythm, everything clicked. If you are just starting out, here is how I keep Hornet alive using the two main healing systems: Bind and resting benches. Bind Is My Combat Heal, Not a Panic **** on The main way I heal during fights is by using Bind. Every time I hit an enemy, I fill up a thread gauge that sits under my health masks. Once that gauge is completely full, I can spend it all to restore three health masks. That sounds generous, and it is, but there is a catch: the whole bar gets used up every single time, even if I only need one mask. So I try not to waste it. I wait until I am missing a decent chunk of health, usually two or three masks, before I Bind. If I tap it after taking one hit, I lose the entire gauge and kick myself for it later. The other important detail is that Hornet is vulnerable while the Bind animation plays. She stops for a moment, and in a game as fast as Silksong, a moment is plenty of time to get hit. I have learned to wait for safe windows: after a boss finishes a combo, behind a wall, or after clearing a small group of enemies. Bind is not a reflex. It is a decision. When I treat it that way, my survival rate goes way up. There is also a tool called the Warding Bell that can protect Hornet while she is healing. I do not treat it as mandatory, but it is a wonderful safety net if I keep getting interrupted during the Bind animation. If you are struggling with a aggressive boss or a crowded room, it is worth looking into. Benches Are My Reset **** on The second healing method is much simpler: rest on a bench. Pharloom is full of benches, and they work like checkpoints. When I rest, Hornet heals, and my progress is saved. If I die, I respawn at the last bench I used. That makes benches incredibly valuable, not just for healing but for route planning. I always feel a little relief when I spot one. Some benches are free, but others require Rosaries to unlock. That is why I try to keep a few Rosaries on me at all times. Running out of currency right before a locked bench is a special kind of frustration. Whenever I see a bench, I rest. It is almost always worth it, even if I am not hurt. Saving my progress and topping off my health gives me confidence for the next stretch. Here is a quick comparison I use when deciding what to do: Method Cost What It Does Best Time to Use Bind Full thread gauge Restores three health masks During combat, in a safe window Bench Free or Rosaries Fully heals and saves progress Whenever you find one My Practical Healing Habits After plenty of mistakes, I have built a few habits that keep me alive in 2026 and beyond. First, I treat the thread gauge as a healing resource, not just a damage meter. I notice it filling during fights, and I start looking for my moment. Second, I do not Bind unless I am missing at least two masks, unless I am in immediate danger. Third, I practice boss patterns so I know when the animation will be safe. Fourth, I budget my Rosaries so I am never stuck outside a paid bench. Finally, I use the Warding Bell when I know a fight will punish slow healing. Healing in Hollow Knight: Silksong is not complicated once you see the pattern. Bind is my mid-fight recovery, benches are my full reset, and patience is the real tool that ties them together. If you are dying a lot, you are not alone. Slow down, watch your gauge, pick your moments, and let the benches do their job. Pharloom is brutal, but it is absolutely survivable.

Pokémon TCG Pocket in Late 2026: Events, Expansions, and a Shifting Meta

https://dealnesthq.com

By late October 2026, Pokémon TCG Pocket has settled into a busy, data-rich rhythm. The game’s supporting hub now reads like a living record of everything a player might need: deck-building tools, collection tracking, card and deck databases, tournament schedules, cosmetics coverage, a trade hub, news, guides, and a metagame section anchored by regular tier lists. The breadth is striking. How does one digital card game sustain so many parallel conversations? The answer sits in the cadence of updates, events, and expansions that the hub documents almost daily. A Hub for Collectors, Competitors, and Curious Newcomers The hub is organized around practical needs rather than a single content type. Build Decks and Track Collection sit alongside Meta Tier List, Cards, Decks, Tournaments Schedule, Cosmetics, and a New Trade Hub. That mix says a lot about the audience. Some players arrive to chase a favorite card, some want a ranked-ready list, and others simply want to know which event is live before the reset. The result is a destination that treats collection, competition, and community as connected parts of the same hobby. Is that not the real test of a card-game hub in 2026? A player should be able to move from curiosity to a finished deck without losing the thread. The visible structure suggests exactly that: tools for building, references for checking, schedules for planning, and news for context. October 2026: A Crowded Calendar The late-October schedule is especially dense. A snapshot of the most recent entries shows a blend of guides, events, expansions, and metagame updates, all published within a few weeks of one another. Date Category Focus October 30, 2026 Guides Two-star Trainer feature October 30, 2026 Events Reissued Wonder Pick October 30, 2026 Events Rayquaza Elite event October 30, 2026 Events Mega Mewtwo promo October 30, 2026 Events Bonus Week for Dual Fusion October 29, 2026 Events Second-anniversary celebration October 29, 2026 Events Dual Fusion emblem event October 29, 2026 Expansions FP expansion coverage October 19, 2026 Expansions Dual Fusion expansion October 15, 2026 Guides and Events Mega Garchomp drop event October 14, 2026 Metagame Tier list update October 14, 2026 Events B4B ranked emblem October 10, 2026 Metagame Tier list update That table is more than a list of headlines. It shows how Pokémon TCG Pocket keeps multiple player motivations active at once. Limited-time events create urgency, expansions reset deck-building ******* umptions, and tier lists give the competitive scene a shared reference point. The mix is broad, but the categories remain clear. Metagame and Tier Lists The metagame coverage is one of the hub’s strongest signals of health. Tier lists appear on October 14 and October 10, only days apart, which suggests a format moving quickly enough to justify frequent check-ins. Events such as the B4B ranked emblem and the Dual Fusion emblem event add another layer: competition is not only about raw deck strength, but also about timing, participation, and reward planning. What separates a good deck from a great one in a format this active? The answer usually involves more than a single powerful card. Players need to understand matchups, event-specific incentives, and the way new expansions shift existing ******* umptions. The tier-list updates provide a map, while the deck and card sections provide the raw materials. Together, they turn the hub into a practical companion rather than a passive news feed. Guides and Events for Every Ambition The guide section is equally varied. A beginner’s guide sits beside advanced event breakdowns, including coverage of Team Rocket’s Lapras drop event, the Houndoom drop event, and the Mega Garchomp drop event. Drop events are especially interesting because they combine exploration, combat, and reward chasing.

Silksong: My Route to the Whispering Vaults Map

https://dealnesthq.com

If you’re like me, the moment you step into a new region in Hollow Knight: Silksong , your brain screams one thing: find Shakra. In Act One, that habit pays off constantly. Shakra hands you a map for each new area, and suddenly every suspicious wall, bench, and dead end feels less like a trap and more like a puzzle. But Act Two changes the rhythm. Shakra starts showing up less often, and more regions expect you to buy maps from a mechanism with Rosaries. That shift matters. It means exploration becomes a little more expensive and a lot more deliberate. The Whispering Vaults is a perfect example. I remember entering the area after the rotating wheel bridge between Cogwork Core and Choral Chambers, feeling confident, and then immediately getting locked into a fight against multiple enemies. Classic Silksong. After I won that mini-boss scrap, I pushed deeper. The room eventually opens up, and a lone large enemy guards the path forward. Beat it, and then don’t rush ahead. Look for an iron pole ladder at the end of the area. Attack it. It falls, and that’s your way into the attic. You’ll need to wall jump up using the fallen iron pole ladder, so if you skipped that ability, come back later. No shame. Silksong is not a game that rewards impatience. Once you’re inside the attic, go left. Keep going to the very end. That’s where the Whispering Vaults map waits, and it costs 70 Rosaries. I’ll be honest: my first attempt, I arrived with fewer Rosaries than I’d like to admit. I had to leave, scrounge, and come back. Don’t be me. Bring at least 70 Rosaries, and maybe a little extra for the road. The attic itself is easy to miss if you’re focused on combat, which is why I like this route: it’s short, repeatable, and it doubles as a useful connection. Here’s the quick checklist I wish I’d had on my first run: Step What to do Why it matters 1 Cross the rotating wheel bridge between Cogwork Core and Choral Chambers This drops you into the first Whispering Vaults room 2 Win the locked-in multi-enemy fight Opens the path deeper into the area 3 Defeat the lone large enemy Clears the guard near the ladder 4 Attack the iron pole ladder at the end Drops it and opens the attic route 5 Wall jump up the ladder Required to reach the attic 6 Go left to the end of the attic The map is waiting there 7 Pay 70 Rosaries Buys the Whispering Vaults map The attic has another perk that I didn’t appreciate until later. It connects to the Choral Chambers’ Songclave area, right under the first shrine. That makes it a fantastic shortcut. Once you’ve opened the route, you can use it to reach the Whispering Vaults without retracing the whole bridge-and-battle sequence. I love shortcuts in Silksong because they change how you think about a region. A scary area becomes a neighborhood. A dangerous detour becomes a back door. And the Whispering Vaults is worth mapping properly. The area is packed with secrets, including Pale Oil, which is important for completing the Pinmaster’s Oil quest. If you’re a completionist like me, that alone justifies the trip. The region also provides shortcuts to multiple areas, such as Choral Chambers and the Underworks. In other words, the map isn’t just a convenience. It’s an investment in your future routes. You’ll save time, Rosaries, and probably a few deaths. So, in 2026, if you’re replaying Silksong or finally cleaning up your map collection, here’s my advice: don’t **** ume Shakra will always be there. Act Two’s map economy asks you to pay attention. When you enter the Whispering Vaults, fight through the locked room, drop the iron pole ladder, wall jump into the attic, and head left. Bring 70 Rosaries. Buy the map. Then enjoy the fact that the area just became a lot less mysterious—and a lot more useful. 🗺️ That same instinct for making every Rosary count is worth carrying over to how you buy games.

Silksong Guide: Pinmaster's Oil Quest and Pale Oil Puzzle Walkthrough

https://dealnesthq.com

Hornet's Needle is more than a weapon in Hollow Knight: Silksong — it is her steadfast companion through the hostile halls of Pharloom, and players who want to keep its damage relevant will eventually need to chase down Pale Oil. As of 2026, the Pinmaster's Oil quest remains one of the clearest upgrade gates in the game, and it is no cakewalk for anyone who has not yet untangled Bellhart, Cogwork Core, and the Whispering Vaults. The good news is that the route is straightforward once the pieces click into place; the bad news is that the final crate puzzle has a habit of making even seasoned players jump through hoops. The quest does not open immediately. Players must first break the curse in Bellhart by defeating Widow, then return to the town and watch it come back to life. Once Bellhart is bustling again, the route to the Pinmaster opens up: climb the ladders to the upper part of the city and look for the Pinmaster inside one of the houses. Speaking with him allows Hornet to improve her Needle, but the first upgrade is only the appetizer. After a short conversation, the Pinmaster explains that further enhancement is possible — if Hornet can obtain Pale Oil. Quest Prerequisites at a Glance Step Requirement Why It Matters 1 Defeat Widow and break Bellhart's curse Restores Bellhart and makes the Pinmaster available 2 Climb to upper Bellhart and speak with the Pinmaster Starts the Pale Oil objective 3 Travel through Cogwork Core Opens the route toward Whispering Vaults 4 Solve the Whispering Vaults crate puzzle Opens the chamber that contains Pale Oil Pale Oil is initially located in the Choral Chambers, but that area cannot be reached directly at this stage. The practical path runs through the Whispering Vaults, and the entrance to those vaults sits in Cogwork Core — the same place where players obtain The Architect's Melody. That detail matters because anyone who has already cleared that section has a head start; anyone who has not should expect a bit of legwork before the real puzzle begins. Inside Cogwork Core, players should follow the same steps they used while working toward The Architect's Melody until a route opens to the right. From there, they need to enter the hidden room and keep heading right until a lever comes into view. Hitting that lever changes the orientation of the rotating wheel bridge. Crossing the bridge leads directly to the Whispering Vaults, and from that point the quest becomes a matter of navigation and crate management rather than combat. Once inside the Whispering Vaults, players should keep going right, then head south in the large vertical room. The next objective is the room on the west, which is packed with boxes. This is where the Whispering Vaults box puzzle begins, and it is the sort of challenge that rewards patience over brute force. The crates are not random scenery; each hit shifts the layout and opens or closes routes. Solving the Whispering Vaults Crate Puzzle The puzzle is best handled as a sequence. Players who rush it will likely knock a crate into the wrong position and have to reset their mental map. The clean route is as follows: 🧱 Go to the end of the room and hit the box to make it slide left. ⬆️ Climb up and move the box above to the right. ⬇️ Head back to the ground and hit a crate there to the right. 🧗 From the crate that just moved, use it to jump up while clinging to the sides. 🔨 Hit the crate in the middle to send it upward. 🛤️ Moving the boxes opens the route to go up. ⬅️ Once above, run left and hit a box to the left. 📦 Follow that box, then hit downward on the box next to it to move a set of crates down. ⬇️ Descend down the open path, then hit another set of crates — this time to the left. 🔁 Go under the same set of boxes, then hit it upward. 🚪 A route to a secret room should now open. Hit the lever and enter the area to claim the Pale Oil.

Restocking Bellhart's Shop in Hollow Knight: Silksong

https://dealnesthq.com

I walked into Bellhart after freeing the town expecting a proper shop, the kind of place that hums with useful trinkets and sensible prices. What I found was a counter that looked almost embarrassed for me. Empty. Almost insultingly empty. Not gonna lie, I stood there for a second, waiting for the shelves to apologize. They did not. In Hollow Knight: Silksong, Bellhart's store matters because it sits right in the middle of my prep for the climb to the summit, and a half-stocked shop is a problem I can fix. As of 2026, this little courier detour remains one of the cleanest early upgrades I can recommend. The Shop That Ate Its Own Inventory When I first freed Bellhart, Frey's storefront only offered a tiny handful of goods. I kept waiting for more to appear, as if the shelves might quietly remember their job. Instead, the shelves gave me a shrug. Frey had apparently eaten most of his wares. Honestly, same. I have also made questionable choices near a snack shelf. Here is what I could buy before the restock: Item Price Effect Memory Locket 330 Rosary Increases the slots you can use Rosary Necklace 140 Rosary Ties up 120 Rosary for safekeeping That is it. Two items. Useful ones, sure, but not exactly a grand market. I wanted the full stock before the climb to the summit, and the empty counter told me I had a delivery problem to solve. Start the Wish Before You Wander To restock Bellhart's store, I had to find the courier who never arrived. The important first step is accepting the related Wish on the nearby Wishboard, 'The Missing Courier'. If you skip that, you are just a tourist with a good sense of smell. Once the Wish is active, speak briefly to the Bellhart shopkeep, Frey. Frey tells you the courier was last seen in Shellwood. That is my cue to head west of Bellhart into Shellwood and stick to the bottom path. The route is not complicated, but it is easy to drift upward when you should stay low. Tracking Tipp Through Shellwood and Mosslands In Shellwood, I eventually found the courier's scent to track. The scent curled through the brush like a shy ribbon, playing hide-and-seek with my patience. Follow it, and it leads to the west Shellwood bench. That bench is a good mental checkpoint. Rest there if you need to, then keep moving. Past the bench, enter the top of the Mosslands area. You need to cross the large chasm to get to the Wormways side, but do not enter the Wormways. Instead, look for the ***** e two ledges down. That is where I found Tipp. Tipp is being accosted by two enemies when I arrive. I defeat both before speaking to him. Trying to chat while he is surrounded would be rude, and probably painful. Once both enemies are down, exhaust Tipp's dialogue. He then travels safely to Bellhart, and Frey's stock upgrades automatically. Fair enough, Tipp. A courier's job is rough. What the Restock Unlocks Finding Tipp expands the store with the following items: Item Price Effect Multibinder 800 Rosary A charm that heals you for extra masks at the cost of lengthening the heal animation Spool Fragment 270 Rosary Increases the amount of Silk you can carry Shard Bundle 50 Rosary Gain an extra 80 Shards in a pinch My shopping list changed immediately. I prioritized the Spool Fragment because extra Silk capacity helps me in longer fights. The Shard Bundle is cheap and practical, so I grabbed it when I needed a small buffer. The Multibinder is pricey at 800 Rosary, and its longer heal animation is a real tradeoff, but it can be worth it if I am planning a risky climb. The Memory Locket and Rosary Necklace remain on the shelf too, so I could still expand my slots or tuck away Rosary for safekeeping. My Quick Checklist 🧭 Accept 'The Missing Courier' on the Wishboard first. 🗣️ Speak to Frey in Bellhart to learn the courier was last seen in Shellwood. 🌿 Go west into Shellwood and stay on the bottom path.

Silksong's Half-Million Steam Peak Proves the Wait Was Worth It

https://dealnesthq.com

It remains a little strange to say that Hollow Knight: Silksong is real. For seven years, players were teased by Silkposts, fake reveals, and community rituals built around a sequel that often felt more like a shared joke than an actual game. Yet the joke has become a phenomenon. When Team Cherry finally opened the gates, the response was not a polite queue but a stampede. Steam, the Nintendo eShop, and the PlayStation Store all buckled under the weight of players trying to buy the game at once. How often does a long-delayed indie sequel turn its launch day into a stress test for three major storefronts? The answer, in this case, is once in a generation. Now that the dust has settled, the numbers tell a clearer story. Silksong reached an all-time peak of 587,150 concurrent players on Steam over its launch weekend in 2025. That figure makes it the second-highest peak ever achieved by an indie game on the platform, and it places the sequel comfortably inside Steam's top 20 most-played games of all time. The list around it is not made up of small cult favourites. Silksong edges out Valheim, Call of Duty, Terraria, Fallout 4, Schedule 1, ****** divers 2, and Among Us. For a game from a small studio, in a genre often treated as niche, that is a remarkable sentence to write. 📈 A Half-Million Pilgrims at the Gate The scale of the launch becomes even clearer when the leaderboard is laid out. Silksong's 587,000 peak sits at number 17 on Steam's all-time concurrent-player chart, ahead of Path of Exile 2, the Battlefield 6 open beta, and Valheim. It is below giants such as Black Myth: Wukong, Palworld, Counter-Strike 2, Monster Hunter Wilds, Lost Ark, Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. Yet the company it keeps is the point. A hand-drawn metroidvania sequel, built by a tiny team and powered by years of community folklore, now shares a statistical table with some of the biggest blockbusters in PC gaming. Rank Game Peak concurrent players 2 Black Myth: Wukong 2.4 million 3 Palworld 2.1 million 4 Counter-Strike 2 1.8 million 5 Monster Hunter Wilds 1.3 million 6 Lost Ark 1.3 million 7 Dota 2 1.2 million 8 Cyberpunk 2077 1.05 million 9 Elden Ring 950,000 10 Banana 917,000 11 New World: Aeternum 913,000 12 Hogwarts Legacy 879,000 13 Baldur's Gate 3 875,000 14 Goose Goose Duck 702,000 15 Marvel Rivals 644,000 16 Apex Legends 624,000 17 Hollow Knight: Silksong 587,150 18 Path of Exile 2 578,000 19 Battlefield 6 Open Beta 521,000 20 Valheim 502,000 What does a half-million peak actually mean? It means that, for a brief window, Silksong was not merely a successful sequel but a cultural event. It means that years of pent-up frustration were converted into a single, concentrated burst of buying, downloading, and playing. It also means that Team Cherry's decision to remain quiet for so long did not alienate the audience; if anything, the silence became part of the myth. The game arrived with a built-in audience so hungry that storefront outages became part of the launch story rather than a disaster. ⚠️ A Very Positive, Not Overwhelmingly Positive, Reception The launch was not flawless. Silksong's reviews have settled at 'Very Positive' rather than the 'Overwhelmingly Positive' rating earned by its predecessor. The complaints are specific: a widely criticised Chinese localisation, described by some players as rubbish, and a sharp difficulty spike that has frustrated part of the audience. For a sequel with this much anticipation, any friction becomes a talking point. Does a rougher localisation or a punishing difficulty curve seriously damage a game's legacy? In this case, the evidence suggests not. The controversies have done little to dent Silksong's momentum, and the concurrent-player peak remains the headline. By 2026, the conversation has shifted. The question is no longer whether Silksong would ever arrive, or whether the long wait wo

How I Reached Shellwood in Silksong: A Player's Field Diary

https://dealnesthq.com

I still remember the moment Far Fields stopped feeling like a maze and started feeling like a launchpad. I am not a speedrunner, and I definitely do not know every hidden route by heart, but when I replayed this stretch of Silksong in 2026, the path to Shellwood felt like a proper adventure: a quest reward, a risky air-current ride, a tense boss fight, a spooky detour through Haunted Bellhart, and finally a map vendor waiting in the lush green wilds. Shellwood sits toward the end of Act One, so reaching it is not just about walking west. You need the right ability, a little patience, and enough confidence to climb over a closed inn instead of knocking on the door. The One Ability That Opens the Route For me, the real gate to Shellwood was the Drifter's Cloak. Without the Float ability, the air currents in Far Fields are just a tease. I had to complete the Flexile Spines quest first, and once I had the cloak, the whole area changed. I headed back to the main cavern of Far Fields and used the air currents to ride up toward the surface. That upward rush is one of those Silksong moments where exploration suddenly feels vertical and a little dangerous. My mental checklist looked like this: ✅ Complete the Flexile Spines quest. ✅ Earn the Drifter's Cloak and its Float ability. ✅ Return to the main Far Fields cavern. ✅ Ride the air currents up to Greymoor. ✅ Buy the Greymoor map from Shakra near the entrance. Greymoor, Shakra, and the Closed Inn When I entered Greymoor, I did the sensible thing first: I headed right from the entrance and bought the map from Shakra. I have learned the hard way that skipping a map vendor in Silksong makes every cavern feel twice as hostile. With the Greymoor map in hand, I turned around and kept heading left, past the Halfway Home inn. The inn entrance was closed, so I could not simply walk inside. Instead, I climbed over the building and dropped into the area beyond. It felt like the game was quietly telling me that this journey would not be a straight line. After the inn, I pushed through tight caverns and fields of Crawbugs. Those sections are not complicated, but they punish careless movement. I kept my eyes on the west and eventually reached an open area where Moorwing waited. I will be honest: that boss fight was tricky. I had to learn its rhythm, stop panicking when the screen filled with movement, and treat each attempt as practice rather than a failure. Through Haunted Bellhart and Into Shellwood Defeating Moorwing was the key. Only after that fight could I progress further west and enter Haunted Bellhart. There is an important quest in that area, but I decided to skip it for the moment. My goal was Shellwood, and the route was finally opening up. I watched the cutscene, then ran past all the strung-up bugs in Bellhart and kept moving west. The atmosphere shifted from grey and haunted to something greener and stranger, and then I was standing in Shellwood. Reaching Shellwood is one thing. Navigating it without a map is another. I kept heading west past the swamp and started climbing higher and higher, aiming for the doorway to the top-left. That led me into a dark cavern, and dropping to the lower platform triggered an ambush. Bugs swarmed in, and I had to clear them all before I could breathe again. Once the ambush was over, I climbed to the upper area and exited through the pathway on the left. There I found a cage elevator and used it to descend to the lower section. After stepping out, I stomped on the ****** on to my right to open a shortcut back to the main area. That shortcut felt like a small victory, because it meant future trips through Shellwood would be less painful. From there, I kept heading left past the swamp and into the next area. That is where I finally met Shakra again. She had the Bellhart and Shellwood maps in her offerings, and buying them made the whole region feel m
